Speaking of hotels, the meeting that I was at was all about hotels. Here are some updates on some truly amazing properties:
ANDAZ…opening in West Hollywood in January. This was the old Gene Autry Hotel and has been completely redone to address the slick and the trendy. Even the food is trendy…organic and locally grown! www.andaz.com. While Andaz might sound new, Hyatt does not and that is who owns Andaz. Guests of Cadillac Travel will have early check in and late checkout when available.
BANYAN TREE RESORTS. Opening their first resort in Mexico in February in the Rivera Maya. TRUMP LAS VEGAS…Wow, have we got a deal for you! MAUNA KEA RESORT…as long as we are in paradise, let’s stay there. After your stay in Honolulu, we suggest you head on over to the island of Hawaii and stay at the legendary Mauna Kea Resort. As you might know, this resort was closed for two years after the earthquake in 2006. They spent that time and money to reinvent this property. Rooms were enlarged so that now the average room size is over 600 feet..or a small condo in Chicago! My favorite innovation is the rooms that have lanais OFF THE BATHROOM…ok, now that is cool!
